Michael is a senior equity capital markets professional, having raised over $54 billion in proceeds for clients via approximately 160 transactions. Michael’s expertise lies in leading and executing equity capital market initiatives with a focus on growth companies.
Michael is a former attorney and began my investment banking career as a senior associate at Robertson Stephens, Inc, where he was able to hone my expertise in financial modeling and analysis, including comparable company, precedent transaction, discounted cash flow, contribution, pro-forma merger, accretion/dilution, and LBO analyses. He then served as Vice President at Piper Jaffray & Co. This position allowed him to gain substantial experience in originating and executing 144A & Reg D convertible offerings, public and private exchange offers, restructurings, and structured call spread products. Michael later had the pleasure of co-founding Lazard’s convertible practice, collaborating with a talented team to drive success in convertible securities at Lazard Frères & Co, San Francisco.
At BMO Capital Markets, Michael played an instrumental role in building a robust US Equities Origination business post-Financial Crisis, with extensive experience in all equity products, including IPOs, Follow-on Offerings, Private Placements, PIPEs, and At-The-Market (ATM) Offerings. Most recently at ROTH Capital Partners, San Francisco, CA, Michael acted as Managing Director – Technology Equity Capital Markets / Private Placements where he spearheaded technology equity origination and execution efforts for the firm.
